To combine batteries: -Download the free Ecobee app on your smartphone, tablet or computer. -Open the Ecobee app and tap on the Tools icon in the top left corner. -Select Sensor Settings from the list of options. -Under Additional Devices, find and tap on your ecobee 3 or 4 smart sensor. -Select Batteries from the list of available settings and tap on Add Battery. -On your ecobee 3 or 4 smart sensor, enter the battery’s serial number into Unique Identification. -Tap Save to save your changes and return to the Sensor Settings screen. -Select Power Use from the Actions pane and choose Basic from the drop down menu.
